How and when did you get into estate agency?
I moved to London from Zimbabwe in 2002 and a few years later joined a fast-growing agency in Canary Wharf. I took to the job instantly and worked my way up while helping the company expand across the capital and Asia. The key to this success was building strong relationships with investors all over the world who needed a trusted property advisor to assist them on the ground in London.
What’s your favourite thing about London?
One of my favourite things about London is the mixture of historic and modern architecture, often cleverly incorporated into one. London truly is a city with immense character.
What do you love about your job?
The sense of pride in having built a successful company with my business partner. Having been an employee for a large firm previously, it is truly exciting to be able to shape our business through putting our clients at the heart of what we do. I also love the amazing people we work with on a daily basis - from landlords, investors and tenants, to developers, furnishing companies and contractors, we’ve perfected a harmony of interaction and watching what we have created together grow is an amazing feeling.
What’s your top tip when selling a property?
First impressions are everything! Ensuring your property is clean, clutter free and looking its best will help you achieve the highest price possible in the current market. Also bear in mind that potential buyers can better picture themselves living in your property if it’s furnished, so if your property is empty, you could consider staging to help them visualise. If that is not an option we can assist with virtual staging via CGI.
